You can erase the Splits detail by clicking the Clear button. You can also tell QuickBooks to recalculate the payment or deposit amount by using the split transaction data simply by clicking the Recalc button.
QuickBooks business accounting software stores the detail of each individual credit and debit attraction in your company accounts file. If you don't need to keep historic accounts information, you can clear old transactions from your company accounts file by deleting or voiding each transaction.
Deleting a transaction removes it completely, while voiding a transaction assigns a zero value to the item but retains the transaction details. QuickBooks also includes a Condense Data utility that you can use to clear the details of all transactions before a specific date.
